10-6The lead author is one of my favourites. He used to write for
Addison-Wesley and his irreverent texts on such products as Word were a
breath of fresh air. He tells it as it is, warts and all. If we have to
use less than perfect products it helps to have someone who is willing to
warn us of the rocks.
Now let me clarify one small issue. Outlook 97&98 are only tenuously related to Outlook Express. The later is a renamed product (it used to be called Internet Mail and News) the former is an application that ships with Microsoft Office.
If you use Outlook 98 (or 97) you really should have a copy of this book. Not only will you have the consolation of knowing that you are not alone but you will also learn quite a few ways of thwarting Microsoft by actually getting a product to work the way you want.
