10-6If you dabble in hardware programming you will need this book if you
want to write programs that make use of SCSI features. This book includes
information on SCSI-2 and SCSI-3 as well as the Advanced SCSI Programming
Interface (ASPI). It covers low-level programming with SCRIPTS (that is a
language from Symbios Logic).
The author covers (with examples) most areas and gives some specific consideration to Windows 3.1 and Windows NT. He also pays some attention to the needs of the Linux programmer.
If you work with or want to work with SCSI then you should probably buy this book. If you are not in this select group it will offer you nothing.
