OL37There really is very little to say about this book. If you
need to know the details of Unicode this is the one true
authoritative reference. Very little has changed since the
equivalent reference for version 2.0.
This is a highly specialised area, however I remain convinced that the book would be much better if the accompanying CD provided simple programmes (possibly in Java for portability) that displayed the relevant glyphs either in response to the code or as a language group. I most strongly urge the publishers to lobby the Unicode Consortium about producing such a CD. At the right price it would have a very substantial sale.
