Having just roastedC/C++ Annotated Archivesyou may expect me to hammer this one out of sight. Well I am sorry to disappoint you.

This is not really a book but a CD of volumes 100-478 of the CUG (original US group) library that is now maintained as one of the services provided by 'The C/C++ Users Journal'. Sensibly they have dropped the first 99 volumes as those are truly archaic. This effectively means that this is the December 1997 version of the CUG Library. The accompanying 'book' consists of notes on all the volumes from 300 onwards and one line summaries for the earlier volumes. It also includes cross-referencing by topic and by CPU/Platform.

All the code is on an 'as is basis' and the quality will vary considerably, however it is code written by enthusiasts for others of like mind. If you are willing to keep an open mind you will find the occasional diamond hiding among the mundane. Please remember that whilst this is working code it is not necessarily an example of best practice.

For students and hobbyists with the right attitude this is well worth a look.
