Note: when you create a new publication type, the articles module will automatically use the templates user-display-[publicationtype].xt and user-summary-[publicationtype].xt. If those templates do not exist when you try to preview or display a new article, you'll get this warning :-) Please place your own templates in themes/yourtheme/modules/articles . The templates will get the extension .xt there.

Summary: We plan to have access to two types of blog feeds. One is a local blogging system on site, the other is remote RSS feeds from ACCU members and affiliates.

At the ACCU Conference 2006 a lot of interest was expressed in running a blogging system on site so that some members could write short blog entries of interest to ACCU members. We called them 'mini-blogs' as they were not intended to be long pieces or articles. Although at present there seems to be no reason to have any limit on what you want to write.
Another option that we are exploring is to incorporate feeds from external blogs, ideally belonging to members of the ACCU or close affiliates.
This is the first entry in the blogging system, and something in the way of an experiment. I don't even know if it will show up when I press 'Save'!
If you think you may be interested in having your own 'mini-blog' or if you would like to see a blog you run elsewhere, showing up here, then drop a line to the 'webeditor at accu dot org' and he'll set you up.
