Note: when you create a new publication type, the articles module will automatically use the templates user-display-[publicationtype].xt and user-summary-[publicationtype].xt. If those templates do not exist when you try to preview or display a new article, you'll get this warning :-) Please place your own templates in themes/yourtheme/modules/articles . The templates will get the extension .xt there.

Dear Francis,

I just had to write in reply to Silas S. Browns general gripe at EasySpace. I too have an URL registered by/through them which is also hosted on their Linux platform.

I also have a redirected site with Global Gold (which redirects to a subdirectory of the above EasySpace hosted site). and I have an NT hosted site with Global Gold. I have found both companies to be professional and courteous and 'do exactly what it says on the tin' :). I am particularly impressed with EastSpace's help sheets and links

I can only assume that either Silas has been unlucky or that I have been lucky. I see he later withdraws much of his gripe. But credit where credit is due. I am very happy with both companies.

I would like to thank Silas for his excellent CGI programming article.

Keep up the good work

Dan Adcock

PS: I did though have worries during the time of the registration that I may be being Gazumped on my URL but it didn't happen. I believe this is a common concern.

PPS. On Being Valued... I work in an office where the general language 'du riguer' is Delphi - if it wasn't for ACCU I would have no line of communication to other C++ programmers who willingly share their failures as they do their successes. Having it delivered in paper form means I can read it in 5 or 10 minute intervals over the course of the month until the next one arrives.

C++ programming is an art, 'recognised' art forms have late night programmes on BBC 2 to spread their word, they would never let a bunch of 'beardy blokes' clog up the airwaves to discuss the joy of object inheritance (or whether it should be allowed at all (ahem)). ACCU fills a very large void real world people talking real world programming in the best general-purpose language ever invented.

PPPS: The community spirit with C++ programmers must be strong. I have just asked Charlie Calvert a question by email and got a reply from the great man himself less than 10 hours later.
